Cowboy Studio Photography

Help with making my own muslin-style photography backdrops?
I’ll be able to use two nice sets of studio lights that I’m borrowing from a photograph instructor for a few months, but I don’t want to use the included green screen.
Can anyone offer me some tips or suggestions on making some backdrops? I was thinking that I could make a few with white sheets, and paint or dye or stain them. Cowboy Studios offers fairly large backdrops, but they’re $20-$30 a pop, and I’ll only be using them for a few months.
Thanks in advance!
Make just like what you are thinking. Twist and wrap them up and throw them in dye.
